Who We Are: Family-Based and Growth-Supportive

The secret of HEULE's innovative power has a strong foundation in the family-based culture. In an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust, an intense exchange of ideas and views continuously takes place across hierarchical levels and technical disciplines.

HEULE's family-based culture is rooted in the continued involvement of Heinrich Heule, who still participates in some of the day-to-day operations of the company.  Today the company is headed by his son Ulf Heule. Ulf's wife, Rita Heule, is also an integral part of the management of HEULE Werkzeug AG.

When Ulf Heule joined the company in 1988, this marked the beginning of the expansion of its sales organization and the globalization of its export activities into the US, Canada, and Mexico. North American President Gary Brown was part of this expansion when he began his employment with HEULE after completing his engineering degree from Miami University in Oxford, OH. Gary Brown spent a year in Switzerland learning about the company while living with Heinrich Heule before returning to the US to begin growing HEULE's North American market.

With the growth and success of HEULE's North American market over the past 28 years, we have recently begun establishing markets in China and South Korea. In spite of so much growth, HEULE remains committed to a family-based culture, encouraging employees to take an active role in all areas of the business.

"I don't feel like an employee; I feel part of a global family. The family-based culture is the way HEULE does business: with respect and kindness.  HEULE cares about precision and progress, but also about people."

HEULE is a family-owned company that was started in 1961 by Heinrich Heule. HEULE manufactures cutting tools for high-volume manufacturing across the globe. With four locations, HEULE maintains a small company feel while encouraging employees to become involved in all aspects of the business.
